2015 Kia Sorento
The 2015 Kia Sorento is one of the best updated models in its class. This car received an extensive makeover from the inside and under the hood. The model was upgraded last year and received a much upgraded interior, new engines and improved refinement, with around 80 percent of the parts new or redesigned.
From the inside, the classy cabin feel and look took a big step in a wonderful new direction, one that has been reiterated now in the new K900 and Cadenza sedans. Though the sheet metal look of the car is essentially the same as it has been from the previous years, still the interior of the Sorento feels contemporary and fresh. It has been relieved of most of the lack luster looking plastics that worked well enough for the last few years, and is now covered in soft touch finer materials and polished off with spare, thin metallic trim. From the outside, there are a few exceptions. For the 2015 version of the Sorento, it gets a somewhat unique grille design, having either a black mesh or an anodized silver-metal look. The lower valance of this car has been opened up and received a cross hatched look. Projector headlamps and LED front lamps have also received a new look. Most of the Sorento 2015 models are powered by a 3.3 liter all aluminum GDI V-6, making 252 pound-feet of torque and 290 horsepower. A 2.4-liter, 191-hp GDI four-cylinder engine is standard. The Sorento 2015 delivers its power on the road with the help of a six speed well sorted automatic transmission. This car is either configured with an enhanced torque vectoring version or front wheel drive of the all wheel drive system.
The latest version has an electric power. It has speed sensitive steering that on some trims is driver adjustable from a variety of 3 modes, which include Sport, Normal and Comfort to nominal effect. Kia has made some prominent advances in responsiveness and ride quality as compared to last year’s revamp, with a more rigid body structure, a latest independent front suspension having a sub frame H-shaped cradle, a front strut-tower brace, and new bushings for the link rear suspension. The 2015 version of the Kia Sorento comes in 4 different versions, which include SX-L, SX, LX and EX models. All these models are offered in V-6 or four cylinder versions, whereas all the SX-L, SX, LX and EX models are equipped with the V-6. The third-row fold-away seat is optional on LX four-cylinder models; however, it is standard on other model lines.
• The UVO interface of this model is excellent
• Handsome style bridges
• The interior structure of this car is designed elegantly
• SX model is more for a sporty look rather than performance
• Lackluster gas mileage
• Tight third row seat
All versions of the Kia Sorento have power features, satellite radio, and standard Bluetooth. A panoramic sunroof is the latest option. The Sorento SX adds a few of the top features gained by the Optima SX the previous year; it includes a soft-touch headliner, a wood-trimmed heated steering, heated rear seats and Nappa leather upholstery. On the exterior it is differentiated by its special 19-inch chrome wheels, red-painted brake calipers and HID headlamps.
