Ever since Leverage premiered in the December of 2008, I have been a big fan of the show and especially the concept. I’m sure that it is some type of play off of another movie years ago but as a teenager, this show is pretty awesome. People who were once criminals and people who worked against the system and working against the system still but just for the better good of the people. Whoever came up with the concept is a genius in my mind and I am happy that it has been on for 5 seasons which is a lot better than most of the crappy shows that come out and only end after one or two seasons.
Let’s meet the leading roles:
The Mastermind: Nathan Ford played by Timothy Hutton
He’s the mastermind of it all. He brought the team together even though they all used to work alone and became their leader in helping the good people in the world. He comes up with the plans and how to carry out a plan in order for it to work and con their target to help their client. Without him, the group is useless.
The Thief: Parker played by Beth Riesgraf
Parker is the thief. If there is any stealing to be done, Parker is the one to do it. She’s also like a mini dear devil willing to anything and everything that involves rope and falling off of building, elevators, and so on. She loves adventure and a challenge like getting to an item in a room full of floor lasers. She also has a building love interest with Hardison the hacker.
The Hacker: Alec Hardison played by Aldis Hodge
Hardison is the geek of the crew. As he always says, “It’s the age of the geek.” He is the person that does anything technical or electrical. The computer is his life and he can do anything he desires on it as well as cellphones and other electrical devices. He can hack into anything and everything from home computers to corporation computers and security systems.
The Grifter: Sophie Devereaux played by Gina Bellman
Sophie is a grifter which I never understood what that meant but I like to think of her as the actress in all of this. She can play numerous roles as different people in order to make the con convincing. She isn’t a great actress on the stage itself but when it comes to cons, she’s the best actress there is. She also has a complicated love interest with the mastermind Nathan Ford.
The Hitter: Eliot Spencer played by Christian Kane
Before anything else is said about Eliot, it is his good looks. However, he is the bad boy in a good way. Anything that has to do with physically hurting or dealing with threatening personas, he deals with it personally. He doesn’t use guns and doesn’t carry one on him either. Just him and his two fists that can take on any kind of threat to this group. There have been no serious love interest so far with Eliot.
